(27.2 MB; 59:33 MIN)
You've been invited to the 1st Annual Zombie Picnic! While eating brains, potato salad and drinking copious amounts of coffee, we listen to The Hermit's Cave episode, "The Search For Life", Taliesin makes a visit to give us his top 3 favorite Draculas, we rock out to songstowearpantsto.com's "Shoot The Zombies" and politely ignore the obvious anti-zombie sentiment, we quake in place to The Hall Of Fantasy's "Return From Death", then we wage war with a redneck family reunion while head banging to Bloodsucking Zombies From Outer Space's "Army Of Zombies". Make sure you stop by Taliesin's blog, Taliesin Meets The Vampires, songstowearpantsto.com's website and Bloodsucking Zombies From Outer Space's website (or their MySpace page here).

How is it that more people aren't commenting on these awesome older episodes?! brains and potato salad, Andrew Zimmern or Anthony Bourdain would be all over this stuff..and something tells me that Anthony would get along just fine with the Zombies.

You know, I have it on good authority that Anthony Bourdain is a zombie.
You know, the older shows are admittedly not as good as the newer podcasts, so I understand. People aren't really into commenting often, either (for example, I read for Pseudopod occasionally and, although they have thousands and thousands of listeners, comments usually top off at seven to thirteen), so I'll take what I can get. I'm certainly glad you're enjoying them!

I think the older shows don't get as many comments because Dr. D isn't in them, or is only in them for short bits to do his movie round-ups.
More Dr. D = more love.

I've recently begun listening to the program. Great Stuff!
Did you evolve from the old zombie astronaut site? Or is that site a trick of my memory?

Glad you're enjoying the podcast!
This was a spinoff of sorts of the original Zombie Astronaut site. We'd received tons of e-mail from people saying they'd be more likely to listen to this stuff if it were podcasted, so FoF was born. Then the original site died, then died worse. We're hoping to get that back together soon...
