EPISODE 0.022: KREEPY KUTS OF KARLOFF

Episode 0.022: Kreepy Kuts Of Karloff
(134 MB; 1:37:36 MIN)

In the spirit of recuperating from a long Christmas party that lasted through the New Year, we're taking a break from our usual shenanigans and I'm dishing up some Boris Karloff.  We're listening to Creeps By Night's "The Hunt", Inner Sanctum's "The Wailing Wall" and four episodes of Tales Of The Frightened, as well as excerpts from the Chevy Show, Shindig, Dorothy Lamour's radio show and Rosemary Clooney's TV show, as well as closing with Tom Dissevelt & Kid Baltan, whose music was used as the Tales Of The Frightened soundtrack.  Taliesin weighs in on Boris Karloff with Taliesin's Non-Top 3, courtesy of Taliesin Meets The Vampires.

I like Karloff much better than Lugosi. I think Karloff has much more range. Lugosi, at times, comes across as just an accent. But that might be the drugs.

Now, see here, minion o' mine - there will be no dissing of Lugosi! He had a legitimate ailment, and made some poor career choices, on top of not always getting the opportunities he deserved. One more outburst like this, and you'll be going pie-less for a while!
