Episode 0.026: Transylvania 2 - Electric Boogaloo
(45 MB; 1:38:27 MIN)

Though well-meaning, Dr. Von Martinez whacks Taliesin and I in the head, stuffs us in the trunk and drives to Transylvania - Transylvania, Louisiana, that is.  We don't find vampires, but we do find trouble, thanks again to Dr. Von Martinez.  The podcast itself, however, is stuffed like a bloodsucking tick with vampire-related audio.  Listen to Inner Sanctum's "Undead", Wade Denning's "A Trip To Transylvania", The Witch's Tale episode "Graveyard Mansion", Nightfall's "Carmilla" and a handful of vamire film trailers.  Taliesin tells us everything you ever wanted to know about "Carmilla" but were afraid to ask whilst I get the holy heck beaten out of me, courtesy of Taliesin Meets The Vampires.

"Transylvania 2: Electric Boogaloo" was written by W Ralph Walters

Brent Hinks - Dr. Wilheim Von Martinez
Taliesin - his vampire-loving self
Terri Chevas - the waitress with the mole
W Ralph Walters - everything else

Kudos for including la Fanu. I'm reading a collection of his work now, including "Carmilla". I picked it up because he was such an influence on M. R. James. Any chance of getting some M. R. James on ZA?

What exactly does Von Martinez do? I mean, Dr. D always has various projects going on. Von Martinez seems to just be....random. Very very random.

I've been madly responding to your comments, but forgetting to click reply, so you'll never get the replies. Did I mention it's early and I haven't had coffee?

I'd love to include some MR James, as I'm a big fan. I just haven't had the opportunity as of yet. It'll happen...

Dr. Von Martinez does have the occasional flash of brilliance, but there is a reason he is the way he is - and we'll be doing an origin episode for him to let you know what that reason is...
