EPISODE 0.032: FLIGHT INTO FREAKINESS

Episode 0.032: Flight Into Freakiness
(46.7 MB; 1:42:02 MIN)

Doc, in an attempt to make an unpleasant flight aboard Dairy Airlines flight 187, installs an experimental warp engine on the plane that causes it to rip through the fabric of space and time into an alternate universe where the plane is attacked by space snot.  No, seriously.  You think that's bad, wait until it crawls up your nose!  During our horrific flight, you'll listen to episodes of Crisis, Lights Out and Theater 5 dealing with freaky flights, as well as a freaky song about a freaky flight and the trailers for Airport and Survive.  This episode features a ZA1 Beneath The Music with Jonathan Coulton (the full version of the interview is available here).  Taliesin discusses flying and bloodsucking, courtesy of Taliesin Meets The Vampires

Astronaut Rufus attempted to provide a link to the "Treat Your Mother Right" music video, but the comments wouldn't support it - here's the video:

So - when are you going to explain why that space snot was too slippery to step on but sticky enough to hold us to the plane?

Great one. Trouble is, the audio version loses a bit. Here is the full video:

      Astronaut Rufus -

I could not, for the life of me, get that video to embed in your comment. I did, however, add it to the entry. Now the video for "Treat Your Mother Right" can be viewed in all its fool-pitying goodness.

Dr. D has an awesome evil chuckle in this one, just before he tells about the warp drive.

I'm quite fond of Doc's chuckle - although usually it means something awful is about to happen...

I'll tell you who has a great laugh... That guy that plays the laughing voices on Who's the Boss. You know? The laughing voices that happen when Tony Danza says something funny?

    Oh, wait... What's that?!?

HUZZAH!! I just found a dime on the floor!

This is an excellent episode. Really, one of your best. The Dairy Air storyline is tight and coherent, but still contains your random silliness and undercurrent of amusing cruelty.

Dr. D's lines are great as always. I love the freak out on the wing. My favorite line was, "I see a quicklime pit in your future."

Jack J. Ward's brief role was wonderful as well. He acted it perfectly.

I'm consistently amazed at your high level of acting quality.

This one is my favorite so far. One thing I love about it is it never tells you where they were going in the first place...
