Okay, so maybe I'm not as great a driver as I like to think I am. I end up in a hospital after an accident, and when I try to leave, it becomes clear I'm trapped there... and while I'm trapped in the freakiest, maddest hospital ever, you get to listen to episodes of NTR about mad doctors and bad hospitals.

The horror world lost a great author when Ray Bradbury decided to go sci-fi full time. I love his early horror works like the one included in this podcast.
Though, the actor who played the Bone Doctor sounded like Foghorn Leghorn pushing snack foods.

Hah! All the cameo with none of the bothersome recording! I love it!!

Hey, another great show. BTW - the links are down on the Zombie Astronaut site. I didn't realize how much I used them until I went and the journal was deleted! Can you post your links on this site somewhere so I can bookmark for myself?

The problem isn't the links, but that GoDaddy deleted the files. Because the files weren't linked to a page on the server, but to the blog, they considered it illegal - after five years. Not to mention any time I called them for assistance with something, I let them know what the server space was used for, and nothing was ever said until about two months ago. I'm working on rebuilding the site and them some, but as you can imagine trying to redo five years of posts will take me a little while. Check the www.zombieastronaut.net address for updates - I hope to have something posted soon, and I'll get The Veldt back up for you.

Thanks, TC, for putting me onto FOF. Still having a minor problem with the lesser audio on some OTR, but I learned to drag my lazy butt to the pc and raise it up. Then, when an OTR episode finishes, FOF comes back on like gangbusters. I shouldn't worry about the louder volumes, though. I live alone in my own house. I just wonder if the neighbors think anything about some of the screaming on OTR episodes, which get pretty intense. I heard OTR on my parents' Zenith Floor Console some time between WWII and Korea, aayyyyup! Not anything negative about FOF at all, but it has provided me with a wonderful sleep-enhancer when I want to nod off. It's the old time sound, takes me back to childhood, lying on the floor, playing with silverfish near the steam radiators, listening to all the radio personalities who are long DEAD. I love outrageous and eccentric. Good night. Pleasant dreams. See you soon. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm? (creaking door squeaks and slams shut).

Heeeeey! Was that message from my Unca' Jim? hee hee! I've never read this page before and thought I'd see what people were sayin'. Very cool that you've been keeping up with them!

Yes. I confess. It's Unca Jim. I enjoy the whole enchilada. Blame it on growing up with OTR in a Christmas Story atmosphere.

The Frequency of Fear is great, notch up one more fan. I really like the mixing in with your own skit and the episodes.

Zombie Astronaut, where have you been all my life?
I found FoF about a month ago and love it. I've always been quite fond of audio dramas, and the skits are hilarious. Sometimes the OTR quality makes following the story challenging, but I understand the issues that you face with that.
I love ZA and Dr. D and Capt BM and VonMartinez. Great stuff, and the chemistry between the characters is dead on in most episodes I've heard.
I have only listened to 15 shows or so forgive my ignorance, but have the genesis stories of the main characters been covered?
Also, Where is the merchandise link?
How am I supposed to express that "MENSA is Latin for Buffet" or that "I'm fortified in Vitamin P" or that "trough an unspecified number of time travel experiments have led to irreparable damage to the space time continuum" if I can't get it on a T-shirt?

Glad you're enjoying the podcast! I understand the issues with the OTR - I clean the heck out of it, but some degradation can't be repaired. We've gone so far as to remake an episode just to relay a great story without anyone going nuts trying to decipher the dialog...
We actually haven't done a whole lot of origin episodes - technically, we haven't done any. We got a gruesome peek into the Despicable family in "Mother Knows Beast", but that's about it. We do have origin episodes planned for myself and Dr. Von Martinez, though mine was postponed until I can replace a cast member I really needed to pull the story off.
You know, I just haven't had time to set up merch yet (moving cross country twice in one year jumbled my FoF related plans), but I'll start working on it.

I'd buy something pie-related, if endorsed by the ol' doctor.

Dude! Me too, totally! hee hee! I'm actually going to be making pies this weekend. Too bad I don't have a Dr. Despicable pie tin to bake it in.

Staccato, me lad, you may consider all pie and pie-related items officially endorsed with my squeal of approval! Now, we have only to get my image and seal out there...
